Cyprus Citizenship by Investment requires an investment of €2.5m in real estate and allows investors to acquire Cyprus citizenship by investment in one year. The Cypriot citizenship by investment programme allows investors to include family members within the family Cyprus citizenship by investment application.

As of 1st November 2020, the Cyprus Investment Programme is closed until further notice. Recently, as an incentive to bring about business to the island’s shores, Cyprus’ Investment Programme has introduced an option allowing investors to acquire a passport in return for their business investment within the island. This will further contribute to Cyprus’ booming economy and thriving business sector.

As of 1st November 2020, the Cyprus Investment Programme is closed until further notice. The revisions made to the Cyprus Investment Programme in 2016 provided for the granting of the Cypriot citizenship by investment to the spouse, children as well as parents of the investor. Further amendments were introduced in 2018, namely a cap of 700 applicants per year, enhanced due diligence procedures and change of the name of the programme to Cypriot Investment Programme.
